   Who are Drivers & Co.?

                     History

The history of Drivers & Co. starts back in 1998 when Alan Jones (Chairman), who had previously run a successful Electrical Contracting company, decided to move away from the electrical contracting business and go back to driving, as he held a Class 1 licence.

He visited a number of local Recruitment agencies, which did not provide the level of service he expected and did not understand the Driving Industry rules and procedures.

He decided he could set up and run a far more professional and competent agency. He joined forces with Ian Robinson (Managing Director), he also had been a Class 1driver before he became a Senior Manager within a large national recruitment agency and a Transport Manager for a Major International Haulier, and together they started Drivers & Co.

               The Future

Due to the successful partnership of highly skilled and Professional Drivers combined with the highest levels of service by our recruitment and administrative staff along with operating with quality clients who appreciate the versatility of a Professional agency, Drivers & Co. has formed an excellent bond with local business.

Due to the resounding success of the Burton-on-Trent Head Office, Drivers & Co. opened the second branch in Hinckley in April 2000 and the third branch in Stapleford in December 2001 based on the same Professional service and screening of staff to ensure the highest service at all times.

Our Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire client base are becoming aware that there is a Recruitment Company who cares about all aspects of the industry to ensure the customers requirements are met and surpassed.

                       Our own in-house LGV Training and Tachograph Courses are available to all employees and clients.

          Mission Statement   

Drivers & Co. aim to supply quality blue chip companies with the service they are unable to receive elsewhere combined with a strong approach towards supplying Professional Drivers to cover a quality client base.

                 Our Service       

Drivers & Co. provide Professional Drivers on the basis of them having been through a comprehensive induction and screening process, including Tachograph and Highway Code tests. Our current client base are aware of the quality service and Drivers we provide. Recruitment companies are only as good as the Drivers they provide. 

Driver Training &     Assessment

To further our aim to become the market leader in the Midlands and also to address the problem of the shortage of skilled/trained drivers Drivers & Co. has now opened the Drivers & Co. Driver Training School.

This service in partnership with local authorities, will train potential drivers, to the highest levels of skill and professionalism we expect from our own agency drivers. In turn this service will assist firms in the Midlands to fulfill their haulage commitments.
